Was due to stay 2 nights but left after 1 with a refund as a tent was squeezed into a full site onto a small patch of grass next to my pitch that was obviously a communal picnic area but I had a tent with a gas BBQ literally under my van window. The owner insisted it was a pitch despite the only place on the site with no pitch number. They were obviously squeezed in to a full site either double booked or just to get a few more pounds. When asked about it was told there were no rules of vans and tents being a certain distance apart! No apology or attempt to compromise bar moving the picnic table a bit! On the plus side it has nice toilets, showers and facilities if campers need them. If it was half the price I wouldn't bother commenting but at 20 plus on a cramped site it certainly wasn't worth it and with the dismissive and apathetic "customer service" felt moved to review. So me and my 2 travelling companions in their vans who were also unhappy found a much nicer CL site nearby for the rest of the stay, quiet, roomy pitches amongst the trees for 12 per night.EDIT after so called response: We had no "Croquet set" so youve obviously got us confused with someone else and had no "Upgrade" offer Didnt even have an awning up so couldnt take up less space if we tried, so again youre confused as well as rude.EDIT2: Your responses are completely irrelevant to "us", I think you are thinking of entirely different people! We had no "upgrade" (to what, from what?) You're confusing us with a different group.
Came back for another visit and I can't believe how great it was. Lodge was great, clean and warm and I couldn't fault Tony or Carol, always happy to offer advise about the local attractions
Stayed here for 3nights with Dog at the lavender lodge right next to the chickens, it was beautiful, enjoyed every minute of our stay, highly recommend. Pleasant greeting when arrived and recomneded some great places to see! Also amazing log burner that adds to any winter break.
Fantastic stay at Pine Green valley this weekend for mine and my husbands 1st anniversary. Was so lovely to be greeted by the owner rather than just a member of staff. Easy commute to places in Cornwall, facilities very clean and well looked after. Hot tub was fantastic, beds were comfy, freeview TV. Had 10% off at the Halfway house as we were staying here and the food was lush! Will definitely be back hopefully next time for longer! Thank you Carol and Tony! P.S the flowers and prosecco were beautiful xxx
What a great find this was. Perfect for what we needed - a few days to pitch a tent and use as a base. Lovely surroundings. Nice clean toilets and decent hot showers. Greeted by Tony, couldn't have been more helpful, made us feel right at home. Weather wasn't perfect but Tony informed us he didn't have much control over that cheers, will definitely be back.
