Nice cabins in a lovely setting next to a stream and ponds. The Retreat does good coffee and snacks and has a small but reasonably well stocked shop. The Ranger organised interesting activities including hands on geology of the area, duck race and nature walks. We have had several peaceful and enjoyable holidays here.

beautiful peaceful. The extras are pricey like the burgers but they are worth it as they are the best burgers I've ever had. The only thing that stopped me putting 5 was unfortunately the sofa was bit uncomfortable so me and the hubby couldn't cuddle up in the evenings on it which was a shame as was our honeymoon but we just put the cushions on the floor and cuddled up there instead:).
Went here for a 4 night stay Monday to Friday. It's our first holiday to a forest holidays cabin. It really was a great stay. Fantastic location. In the middle of a forest. So peaceful and quiet with some nice walks. The cabin itself was clean and tidy. The hot tub was a winner with us all. Our dog was in his element. The staff were all very pleasant. It's really not far to venture to some great beaches and towns. All in all I highly recommend if if you want to just get away to the peace and quiet and just go at a nice relaxing pace. Hot tub in the evening enough said.
